This problem is caused to those who merged the kakao-daum accounts with a different email after signing up to the YalliYalli website via Kakao login.
As per the Kakao’ announcement released on October 1, 2022, they ended the Daum login service, and required users to use the Kakao login service. Since then all Daum accounts have been merged with the Kakao accounts.
Therefore, you won’t be allowed to log in by clicking the Kakao login button if you merged your kakao and Daum accounts with a different email address than what you used to sign up to the YalliYalli website.
If you want to continue using the existing YalliYalli account, you are required to reset the password of the email address that you have been using to login. After that, the only way to login is by using the email address and password.
- Reset the password
Click the ‘Forgot your password?’ button on the login page.
Enter the email address that is used before the kakao-daum accounts merge. And click the ‘Request a password reset email’ button.
- Reset the new password
You can reset the password by clicking the ‘Reset password’ button on the email.

🚨You need to move the email from the junk/spam folder to the inbox so that the link works.
- Login using the email/password
Enter the email address and new password on the login page.
