1. If you have never signed up at the YalliYalli website using your Kakao account, getting the sign up page when you click the Kakao login button is normal.
2. If you have already signed up at the YalliYalli website using the Kakao account, but you are getting the sign up page when you click the Kakao login button, this may be caused because you merged your Kakao-Daum accounts with a different email address than the one you used to sign up to the YalliYalli.
As per the Kakao’ announcement released on October 1, 2022, they ended the Daum login service, and required users to use the Kakao login service. Since then all Daum accounts have been merged with the Kakao accounts.
Therefore, you won’t be allowed to log in by clicking the Kakao login button if you merged your kakao and Daum accounts with a different email address than what you used to sign up to the YalliYalli website. There are two options to log in to the YalliYalli website:
- 1. If you want to continue using the existing YalliYalli account: Since it is a valid account, you have all your booking, payment, and lesson information, but you are no longer allowed to log in using the Kakao login button. You will have to log in using the email address and password after resetting the password.
- 2. If you want to use the Kakao login button to log in even though you are okay with using a different email address: You need to sign up as a new user. You will see the sign up page when you click the Kakao log in button. In this case data migration from the other account is not possible.
This information is provided due to the Kakao's new login policy. For those who merged the kakao-daum accounts using the same email address should be able to login without any problems by clicking the Kakao login button.
